Thanks...most did...it was hard to beat at altitude, in fact it could have been the best up high (excluding the rare jets and the TA-152), and down low as a fighter-bomber it was the best, with its firepower and ruggedness. The most dangerous of missions was strafing airfields, and these survived better than Mustangs, which were very vulnerable to ground fire.Β Β

I just want to stand next to one just to see exactly how big they are.Β  When you don't have a good point of reference, they don't look that big but I know they weighed as much as a B-25 and I know those are rather big a/c.
