A short-ish story-ish
It was torture.
Cruel and unusual.
Captured. Confined.
She gingerly placed her open right hand against the glass. Her heart ached as she watched the gathered crowd on the other side of her painfully small aquarium. The wealthy and well to do.
They stared and they gawked at her. This...oddity. This animal. This...mermaid.
She was one of the last of her kind. A giant koi-maid.
Once she roamed the seas off of Okinawa. Once she was royalty. A warrior among her people...
...now she was a slave. The whole underwater world was open to her. Now she was restricted by the glass walls of a tank that could barely hold her...

There is much beauty to be seen here, but I feel to put your hand in the tank would be most unwise. Something in her eyes seems menacing to me. I very much love the tattoos though. Gives me the distinct impression her keeper is a high ranking Yakuza and she and he are not really in poor terms. Rather, she is for making examples of those with the misfortune of being opposed to her keeper. I donno, maybe I'm reading too far into.

Ahw, feel sorry for her in such a small aquarium. She doesn't seem to mind to much tho. I love the design and the tattoo's. Maybe it would have been nice if she had one of those koi spots on her head like this : [link] I love those
