The title comes from Madame Wu's prediction about a great romance with a " powerful " bender. But it's hard to tell sometimes which is the more powerful one, the Avatar or the Waterbending master who can calm him with a word or gesture.
Aang and Katara are from Avatar: The last Airbender on Nickelodeon.

Piece itself is powerful and I really agree with the title that Katara is very powerful as well as Aang. Although since I saw the video they showed at the SDCC with this piece in it when I look at it all I cans think is of what they say in the video, "Oh Aang, I'm sorry, I should never have doubted the will of Mike and Bryan."

I don't know who put it together or if Mike and Bryan even had anything to do with it.
I do know that the artists featured didn't know their artwork was being used.
Personally, I don't think they picked their 'faves' as much as chose art that would suit their needs.
Which, in this case, was ridiculing their own fans.

As far as I know, they were the ones involved. they edited, and had voice actors do the parts. not the original ones obviously.
I saw the show right after, they were at a con when they showed that. If you look it up youtube, they start taking questions right after, and they use the video as a joke ref for some.
As far as I know, Mike and Bryan have always been vocal about the fan pairings. They made sure to bring them all up a lot in book 3. I know if I were them, I wouldn't be calm about a lot of them.
They actually say in the interview that some of the fan art disturbed them *pairing wise*
Either way, they should ahve asked the artists. . .Or do they need to? I mean, they ARE their characters

I would say in the beginning Mike and Bryan were coy about the pairings, fan or otherwise. It suited them to be ambiguous at the time because they didn't want to reveal too much about the story. And in the beginning all things were possible.
I used to think (and was somewhat offended) when they rescinded their thanks for some of the artwork. But I've since seen some things that have confirmed in my mind that they didn't mean regular fan art of canon or fanon pairs. In other words they're not talking about my Zutara drawings.
I don't think they had to ask permission. (although some notice or credit would have been nice.) I post my drawings here so that anyone can enjoy them. But I felt (maybe unjustly) that they used my art with malice. Basically, it made me not like them very much. But I love their characters too much to stop drawing them.
