Description An inquiring mind must know!
I probably should've given this little guy a name, but he's only present for this short prologue.
I'm thinking we're somewhere middle east, though I didn't design his clothes to be anything specific.

So, go ahead and throw out names if you want to!

Either the glass cools at an incredible rate or Al-Kareem has extremely heat resistant fingers.  I really like his wide eyed look of amazement, at that point in time glass was rather common (stained glass window mozaics) but I think finding warm sheets of it, which weren't there yesterday when he set up camp, would be a bit of a shock.

"Crunch!"  The first thing I thought of was Trinitite [ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinitit… ], I hadn't heard of Meteor Glass before.  Thanks for the link, quite the interesting substance.

Also a super fast cooling rate for cinematic purposes. XD Couldn't just draw him waiting around.

There's certainly a lot of cool stuff laying around in the desert! :3

AH HA!  He found the distant cousin of Space Shuttle ceramic tiles!  The cooling rate on those was warp speed fast.

Absolutely, deserts keep the most intriguing secrets.

If you look at that shard and a reflection in it in a right way, it looks like if he's holding a frozen fish in his hands

I love how we can see his reflection in the glass in the last panel! What program do you use to create your own font?

I made mine using a program simply called "high logic font creator", though I'm sure there's some free ones out there on the internet if you look for 'em.
