Story:
Cub – Nala could be easily described as sassy and playful, yet patient. She easily made friends, but considered the crown prince, Simba, her best friend. She had no problem pushing him around, or putting him in his place when he got too cocky. But she often followed his lead if she thought he had an interesting enough idea. Even if her little brother, Mheetu, was an annoying tag-along who whined when he was told to stay behind, she was still protective as a sister. Following the deaths of Mufasa, and presumably Simba, she took a leadership role among their friends and her brother, becoming brave, yet clever, in the face of the danger of Scar and his followers. Even though she, her family, and her pride had no clue about the truth behind his lies, just the fact that he allowed hyenas into the Pride Lands and threw his weight around, using the excuse that he was able to do anything he wanted as king, made them secretly hate and not trust him.

Adolescent – As she grew older, Nala continued to prove herself as a leader, even in her still-young age. Though she followed Scar's ridiculous orders, such as giving a majority of the hunting spoils to the hyenas and lions in his close circle, she wasn't completely subservient. She would bite back with sassy remarks and snide observations, though she would often get a glare, harsh word, or slap for her troubles. When Scar began to get paranoid about the male cubs growing old enough to challenge him, Nala helped them all, including Mheetu, escape. But once she was found out, she was promptly exiled. Taking advantage of this, she traveled around, seeking help in liberating her stolen home.

Adult – After wandering the unfamiliar lands for months, including finding her friends and brother in their new homes, but not finding anyone who was willing to help the Pride Lands, Nala finally found an oasis, and the best friend she thought she had lost. And after the liberation of the kingdom, and Simba reclaiming his throne, she slipped in easily to her role as queen; thanks in no small part to her actions and rise to leadership during Scar's rule. As queen, she always had some form of advice, whether it was for her subjects, their court, or for Simba, though he sometimes didn't listen to her. And she tried to remain an unbiased sense of comfort for her cubs. Even after her hardships during the reign of Scar, she strove to judge people based on their current actions, not their past, who they might be related to, or what they looked like. After all, she once thought that Scar was a good, albeit strange, lion.

Not too much different with Nala (her eyes ARE a little small, something I've been trying to break out of, and her snout might be a midge too long, but I think she still looks recognizable) aside from the updated members of her family. I imagine she was never told of her real parentage. The only lions who knew were Sarafina, Sarabi, Mufasa, and Mzanga; Mufasa and Mzanga died before telling her, of course, Sarabi probably never thought it was ever a good time to tell Nala, and she died with the secret. As for Sarafina's fate, that'll be revealed with the next character bio

But notice how I mentioned "the only LIONS". I imagine Rafiki would know; he seems like he knows EVERYTHING that goes on. He paints in his tree, almost like he's recording history. And in the show, he's the one who tells the main characters about Nala's father falling from the tree and being rescued by the Lion Guard of his time. So, probably at some point, he goes to Nala, and they have a long talk. Whether it's because she realizes Mheetu doesn't quite look like her, or one or two of her and Simba's kids don't resemble Mzanga, who everyone thought was their biological grandfather. This is actually an interesting concept to explore later, maybe in an image with a story. Maybe someday
