Description

I'm liking how my pen and pencil mimicry is turning out. But also: people complain about hands, and they're right, but feet is where the real suffering happens. @~@

Side note: I have a very generous friend to thank for helping me figure out pretty much the entire lower half of his body.

Edit: I uploaded a different version of this piece with kind of a semi-scratchboard, glow-in-the-dark kind of feel. Check it out Here!

I want you to know that this . . . . does things to my feels.

It makes my feels strike the same pose as that depicted in the artwork.

Feelsception?

Oh gads.... it's so heavy and hurting and tired and I love it. ;.;

Thank you for telling me this. I always find it a really deep experience, almost a kind of connection? when someone looks at my art and, on an emotional level, says "I feel this, I get it." I'll definitely be doing some more of these personal pieces in the future.

Oh wow! This is a stunning piece O.o
The anatomy looks perfect and I really like how the hands and (especially) the feet turned out.
I also love the hair This is something I just can't figure out how to do good digitally They always look like rope when I draw it XD But yours flows so naturally it's beautiful.
The pose looks so powerful yet painful. Poor Link looks like he had a rough fight

Thanks! I probably spent like half a day just fine tuning the pose, and my friend went to So. Much. Effort. just to cobble together a better reference than what I had. Including lying on the floor and trying to take delayed-reaction photos of herself in the same pose. @~@

As for the hair, I think it helps quite a lot that most of the time I work in about 300 ppi, 3000x3000-ish resolutions. I make the sketch, shave the canvas down to frame it right, and then shrink it to about half that size for posting, at least here on dA. It means I can use smaller brushes without them coming out super pixelated.

Yeahh...poor bab Q_Q but it's exactly what I was going for, so I can be glad about that...? XD

Actually I was messing around with stuff and I have a slightly different version of this pic with a black background and glowing red lines, kind of like scratchboard art crossed with those old things...what were they called, lite-brites? I'm thinking of posting it, too, just to see how people like that effect. If so I might do more of them. x3
