So you told the Asari Consort to shove it... leaving poor General Septimus to drown his sorrows in the bottle for the rest of the game...Obviously the setting of this picture isn't Chora's Den. Again, apologize for the laziness in some areas -away from the studio, and distracted by RL.

Looks like he went to the Flux club where there is a cler view of the Citadel and a good, as well clean, party atmosphere. But still, he is too depressed and drunk to cheer himself up in this scene. I always help get this once proud Turian general back on his feet and regain his self-respect all the time.

Something just hit me with this picture. Like a rock thrown at my head. Ow. Maybe that's because you managed to give life to this universe. But still, I found myself with a question : Every glasses in this game are made for "lips species". Shouldn't there be glasses for turians ? I mean, it can't be that easy to drink when you don't have lips.

I have always wondered that actually... because turian's don't seem to have lips or cheeks, and I'd imagine them lapping up water like a dog. But that would probably look ridiculous in game, lol.

Dayum. It's nice to see traditional Mass Effect fanart; it's really nice to see really nice traditional Mass Effect fanart. I love the detail and emotion you put into this piece; Septimus' face, the reflections of the glasses on the table, and the Wards and Ascension against the galaxy backdrop are all beautifully done.
Also, you can leave him at Chora's Den?! I've always sent him back to the Consort to kiss and make up (both my Shepards are goodie two-shoes, though the second one occasionally takes a Renagade option for kicks).

Thanks for the feedback! Charcoal has always sort of been my fallback medium... I find I just can't get the same effects on the computer. I could just be old fashioned too though, lol.
Yeah, you can damn Septimus to his sorrows but only if you tell the Consort to shove it and refuse to do her quest. Septimus will be hanging out in Chora's Den, but you can't talk to him. I have a hard time playing renegade, but my brother doesn't (he was a dick to everyone) - I was watching him play when I saw it happen. So sad.

Heh, when I first played Mass Effect and spoke to this gentleman my mom in the kitchen got a good giggle out of his jackass-ish dialogue about the Elcor ambassador. It's always, always great to see the other side of characters that they don't show in the video games. Heck, that's one of my favorite parts--imaging how the sassy and tough-guy characters we love would behave if you could only get them all alone.
Also, I pretty much seize up with jealousy at your level of talent every time I look at one of your charcoal pieces

I've been thinking that I might start drawing all the things we don't get to see... I'm working on one with Samara and Nihlus, and another one with Kaidan and Garrus giving each other evil looks over Shepard's back. lol.
If in any way I can inspire people to draw, then I've done my job.
There is something very satisfying about finishing a drawing in charcoal, looking at your black hands and saying "yay, now I can wash my hands!"

Ah, that's a great feeling. I used to get that feeling after painting with acrylics, but I only use water color now, and they're unfortunately cleaner.
