Description I have not walked here before
I think
It might have just been a dream. A nightmare -- but it didn't feel frightening.
It felt so many things at once that it was as if it didn't feel at all.

This is beautifully surreal. The color scheme is so pretty and the picture gives off an aura of mystery. I know this is quite old but I found it in a recent Reddit post and couldn't ignore it. Every piece of yours is gorgeous.

This really speaks to me. Β I don't fully understand the words, but it really speaks to me. Β For a second, I could swear I saw things in the cloud through the doorway. Β Amazing.

I'm glad when a painting resonates with someone like that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Very mystical. Reminded me of a movie I saw once where some kids were looking for a world but only one could pass through it's gates. Very magical.

Thanks! Do you remember the name of that movie, by any chance?

I have been trying to scan my brain for the answer to that question, but all I remember clearly is that scene. =C

I do recall movies with similar scenes, but they aren't what your painting reminded me of. Such as in Ghostbusters, there is that scene where that Vigo comes from and a few other movies, but the one that I liked the most I can't recall. I will try asking my family if they recall what it was.

Still I love your painting. It is so beautiful!

I am still looking for it. I watch so much stuff that I may be mixing my movies with anime or cartoons. Though maybe I saw something similar before and then just dreamed it so it doesn't exist in the real world until you designed it and it just brought back this dream I had. XD

You never know though. I still love this art piece though. Even without the missing piece of my memory. =b

I think I remember the scene you're referring at. Structures in a waste land is a surrealist staple! Though I hadn't quite realised this when I painted this picture.

Thank you very much!

To be perfectly honest, there is an error in the arc's perspective. I'm surprised that in all these years no-one has noticed.

O-Uaglione In reply to eilidh [2010-10-23 17:36:52 +0000 UTC]

well to be perfectly honest, I did notice, but...erratic perspective in a surreal landscape is sooooooo subjective....

eilidh In reply to O-Uaglione [2010-10-23 18:07:04 +0000 UTC]

I suppose it can be.

Great works, by the way (I found you via your submission at #dream-club ). I noticed you hide all your frontpage comments, so I might as well say so here.

Your group also has a very well put together collection.

Thank you very much, indeed! We're just starting but have great plans. You may be interested in acting as a contributor? The gallery is surreal-dark oriented, and we're working on an off-dA site for features and interviews and stuff. Let me know!

No need to!

I would definitely be interested in participating as contributor to such a high quality group (focused in a genre I like very much), and thank you for considering me.

I have already experience with administrating groups, so I could sure help!
