I had this idea a while ago when some staff member asked for widget ideas, and have sort of forgotten about it. But the recent news article by =Pickley sparked the idea back to life and I thought I'd illustrate the idea.So basically, if you install this widget, anyone who comes to your page will see the rooms you're in at that moment. People can then click on the room links to open a new tab to the chat page of that room.
You can edit the widget to not include rooms that are -join for guests (like back rooms that are private) or you can list rooms that you don't want to show up that you might be in. You can also toggle it to show how long you've been online and how long you've been idle (since an idle person is no fun to try and chat with), then you have your normal description textbox below that.
There might be other ideas for how to customize the options, but that's the gist of it right there. I think something like that would get more people to try the chat service and encourage people to use it more, along with letting people communicate better. Any other ideas or suggestions?

I really would love this idea to come to DeviantArt soon, would be a lot of fun to see what chats your friends are in, especially if you join a lot of group chats!

This isn't something that exists - just an idea of something I think would be useful here
If something like this did ever get made, I don't really see any reason to make it a premium feature. Just a widget you can install, that anyone can install, that would show the rooms a person was in.

Hehe, yeah I thought about the stalker angle here. But it would be optional to install, and you would be able to list rooms you don't want showing up (although that doesn't stop anyone from /whoising you, which you can do right now).

I didn't use any Photoshop in this one (aside from sticking both images together), I just used Firebug (extension for Firefox) to adjust the page. So making this event calendar would probably be doable

Just making it like the calendar on Google or Entourage/Outlook would be great. Groups really need a feature where they can program an event onto a calender that will automatically send out reminders every (x) number of days/weeks for things. It'll help boost participation in contests, I think.

Well dA upgraded the normal submission process during this sta.sh project, since you can upload multiple files and see a progress bar
The sta.sh project is huge, but there's always room for other ideas here.
