AboutThis script brings some little features to DeviantART.
Here is a list of these features :
• add a zoom effect to the thumbnails
• provide the thumbcode of deviations
• highlight the DailyDeviations
• allows you to pin the header on the top of the screen
• add a 'DD tab' on the deviant users profile
• add a Drag & drop feature on the avatars to +watch
• reintroduce the page numbering on the search pages
• add the possibility to directly open full size from thumbnails by double clicking in the white box on hoverFor a better user expererience, all the options are configurable.
How to
FirefoxThe script has been tested with greasemonkey 0.9.3 and firefox 4.0.* (it should not be compatible with previous version of Firefox since it uses some css3/html5 technologies)• first, install greasemonkey (a free firefox extension) : [link]
• then click on the "install button", here : [link]
ChromeThe script has been tested with tampermonkey 2.0.2395 and Chrome 12.0• first, install tampermonkey (a free google chrome extension) : [link]
• then click on the "install button", here : [link]
You can choose what you want to enable via the "thumb menu" in the header of DA. This menu only concerns the options for the thumbnails. For the rest, you can check the script settings, here : [link]
duration : time the zoom takes to display the full size.
delay : time before the zoom is triggered.

What's new in 2.0?
As I said in the previous update, this version is based on bugs fixes and speed improvment (almost two times faster to load). The script also offer more options to configure settings.
Here is the changelog :
+ the pin button and the +watch with drag and drop are now optional
+ save settings without page reloading (have fun when testing different options)
* fix minor bugs and speed improvement
* fix the bug since the changes on prev / next links (search pages)
* to press the enter key in the 'thumb menu' now trigger the settings save.

The Thumbzoom script is awesome! I really liked how effortless it is when I view thumbnails.
It has a little bug, though. When I installed the script, it kinda messes up with how I viewed my Notes. When users usually view their notes like this: [link] I find that the notes look like this: [link] when the Thumbzoom extension is installed. Maybe you can try fixing that in future updates?

awesome! this was really awesome extension while i was using it, however it did cause a few problems with dA for me so I uninstalled it hoping for some updates.

this is the best thing that ever happened on DA ,,, using it on 4 settings, btw sometimes the image is blured, is that loading or ??
Btw would it be possible that you make a script for better search engine ? ,, all of the stuff in popular is pretty bad

Hmmm actually you are right, i didnt notice it for some time,, previously when i type something, the 1st art on the list is crap ,when it should be super popular.

yeah that seems to be a bug due to the way the images are zoomed, since it is an extension it is probable that there would be a few things that would be bugged when combined with da's own coding.
the search engine seems like it would be extremely hard or impossibel for a programer to edit in an extension. while premium members have a few added bonuses popular and newest are the only real search settings you cna use, howeve you can add filters by type of deviation to the search and use keywords to find stuff to interest you.

well it only happens sometimes so its not really important but anyway it is a great script,, i guessed it would be pretty tough, i wanted the new plugins to be something like every other site on the world has, sort by date,views,favorities etc,, didnt know premium has more options

well premium lets you see up to 120 deviations on one page, and it has the "way back" option which lets you choose any particular date from the beginning of the site to present, and browse the "most popular" from that date.
um i think "popular" is based off of views... maybe, and i think they are in the process of updating alot of those things. as a beta tester me and some others will most likely see these updates sooner then others, but so far as i know it will be a while. probably have to wait for V8

alot of extensions only work in firefox (with greasemonkey) and and chrome (with tampermonkey) it is hard to make things available in IE but both firefox and google chrome are free to download, and easy to use (better then IE imo)

I just don't understand why dA hasn't gotten with the times, themselves, and added zooming thumbnails to pages. Awesome extension!

sounds interesting, but of course that would be a whole lot of coding and take up alot of server space. plus they might have to deal with alot of bugs. however maybe you should make that as a "devious suggestion" and see if that helps

I think I found a bug? ...Uhm, when you're submitting pictures to a group the thumb gets over the "submission accepted/denied" ..

yeah I noticed alot of simalar bugs when i was using it, maybe he will update it, but for now i disabled it due to those bugs.

no it only affects your own computer, if another member has installed it they will see those kinds of things everywhere.

I love this script, I find it very useful! The only downfall I've found so far is the white background that appears instead of transparency

First of all, this is awesome. But I have some issues.
Four things:
-Is it possible to keep the background of transparent images...transparent? I'm looking in my friend's gallery and she has a few deviations that use transparency. They now have a white background. Also, when I click on them, they have a dark gray background. [link] <- top row deviations all have transparent background.
-Can it be made possible to be able to copy and paste the thumb code? I've tried a few times and it just keeps thinking I want to add it to my favorites (dragging to collections).
-Last thing, not sure if this is fixable or not, but the top row deviations of any gallery, when you hover over them, get cut off.
-Nothing happens with literature deviations :c Maybe they could pop out as well and you can view more of the text?

1. i think thats just part of him making it zoom, might be easier to edit that out of the settings if possible, otherwise its stuck.
2.i have managed to do it before... myabe you need to try and align the curor with the code better to avoid that, also sometimes with smaller thumbs parts of the gets cut off, so its easier to just go to the page and get the thumb, or fave and then drag to where you want to use it later.
3 one of the bad bugs of the add-on it also manages to mess with the daily deviations in the footer, and the activity on the today page. its one of the main reasons i disabled the extension.
4 since lit thumbs often dont apear as images that would probably be more complex, ive seen other extensions have trouble with lit thumbs, i dont think it would be easy for him to fix that.

Another thing that I noticed that bothers me a lot actually is that there is no date displayed when you hover over deviations :c

What happens if i pin something? What do I use the thumb number for? And why is the quality of the pictures decreased?

if you pin the bar at the top it will stay at the top of your screen even when you scroll down, and you can easily change it back to normal
the thumb codes are codes that can be inserted in places to apear as a deviation thumb (the small dragable image that can be faved and links to the deviation) mostly this only works for premium members but free members can use thumbs in notes, news aticles, and forums.
the quality is changed because the pics are zoomed using the extension, he tried to make it smooth but smaler images and pixel art might apear weird when resized in that way. also its not very compatible with transparencys i guess, so any transparency will be replaced with white
