I would have been if I lived in the early 20th century But not nowadays. I feel like ships aren't ships anymore. They just look like some buildings, nothing attractive.Β

i get it, you want to control the machine like in 17th century (like in assassins creed black flag). kinda have full control instead of electronics etc.. same with the aviation world today (that im more related to). cool art btw

The colors in this painting, the amount of detail. Plus the sky foreshadowing the imminent danger ahead? Truly not the work of some amateur here. It is a gorgeous piece.

Thanks a lot, I'm glad you appreciate this artwork! It was indeed intentional to make the environment around the ship foreshadowing from the bow part of the ship, in contrast with the bright side on the back. Like if Titanic was sailing towards her destiny...

I see you have returned to you favorite star. Epic as always.

Made me read up a little, seems that the actual damage that sank her were a couple of holes of little more than a square meter size altogether.

That was quite a surprise for me, though it's probably sound information (and already calculated by naval engineers right in 1912).Β

I always do! Β

Thanks a lot, glad you appreciate this artwork too! It was indeed a couple of holes that doomed the Titanic, and not a single huge hole like many people believe. I myself thought for years that it sank with one hole, until I made some researchs! But when I think about it, it seems logical. The ship would have sank faster with a huge hole, and not in 2 hours and 40 minutes like it did.

There is light behind her and darkness ahead....the symbolism is so powerful. This is both beautiful and quietly ominous.Β

Indeed it was intentional to make the surrounding of the ship quite menacing from her bow side since that's where the ice field was. Thank you for your comment, glad you appreciate this artwork!
