Description Before there were gods, there were the titans.
And before there were the titans, there were the hecatonchires.
This one is the Cottus and he's the sexy one. ^_^

Designing a hecatonchires was fun, but actually drawing it?
I dreaded that moment for months.

Now that I think about it, maybe the hecatonchires are not the best choice for a villain in the Wonder Woman movie, can you imagine the ordeal you' d be inflicting upon the poor bastards who are gonna have to model that?
That sound you hear in the distance is Zbrush and Maya bawling at the polycount. ^_^

I think in real life a hecatonchires would literally drive people insane like right out of HP Lovecraft stuff.
Also note that THREE of them defeated all the Titans, by with each hand throwing rocks as big as mountains...  At least according to the original stories.

For 3d Modelling it could be done today, look at all the "Armies Fighting" scenes.  Considerably more than one of those things.  Now to push something into a PC you'd have to make very spartan models perfectly mapped, like 3d games in the pre Ghz/GB days...

Myself I'm thinking of making something like that, though closer to the D&D epic handbook stuff for a background scene in a fiction I'm writing.  I'm sub-professional in art, but IMO good to pull out Poser and draw tons of arms from every angle and pose, good practice!

Your work here is awesome though...
Is this comic published?  I'd probably buy it!

Greco-Roman-inspired Mad Old Gods? I can dig it.

Thanks, DarkKnightJRK, to be honest I drank inspiration from all over the place, from the ancient babylonians to the greek, the scythians, the persians...
