I finished it!

Probably the chalk piece I spent most time on - instead of being done by last friday I put some more 6-8 hours into it until I was (nearly completely) happy with it.

It is of course Pippin Took played by fabulous Billy Boyd in one of my favourite scenes (right behind the one where he's singing - always gives me the chills, that one) in Return of the King. It's when he and Gandalf have just arrived at Minas Tirith, he's swon allegiance to Denethor and now they're in their room (or rather, on their balcony) and talk about Frodo's quest and the coming battle. It's the deep breath before the plunge....
I always feel that Peter Jackson's adaption works best when he directly takes the lines from the books, even when they're from other scenes there. But even when not, it's a fantastic movie!

This is a commission I did for the fabulous as prize for winning #tolkien 's "Shire" contest. I really, really enjoyed doing it (even though hobbit hair is a nightmare, and the last 4 hours were literally only working on one eye), and I hope you like it, dear!
