Description The builders photo of the D-TECo. demonstrator 2-8-6t locomotive. This locomotive is equipped with a center cab, side coal bunkers and a platform for the firemen to tend to the fire. Though very large for a tank engine, this is not the largest.

The primary buyer of theses types is the Coal Valley Short Line, and because of the Wooten firebox, is used on the Anthracite division. They are not limited to the CVSL, some can be seen on Keystone Clay and Lumber Company's line and the Salisburry and Rockwood R.r.

Wow this is really cool. Thes locos could have detachable tenders if they needed to go out on the mainline.

Lovely! It reminds me a little of the 2-8-6 from way back when I did, but much larger! I really like the concept with the Wooten firebox too.
