Amsterdam, Centraal StationWhen I was a small boy living in Amsterdam, this is where the exciting outside world began, and every train was an adventure.
Tomorrow I'll be away for a couple of days, although (I hope) not fully offline. I've been rather busy the past few months, not feeling too brilliant and I'm terribly behind with my thankyous and devlist (worse than ever). I hope I'll have more energy when I'll be back, because visiting your pages, seeing your art and thanking you for your feedback are things that I actually like to do. In the meantime I'll hope you'll accept my heart-felt...

Corel Paintshop XII. Although this piece looks very edited, it's very much like it came out of my camera - the rasterized pattern in the upper half come from some kind of wire mesh. So, no heavy editing!

Ik zou wat vaker op stations moeten fotograferen, we hebben zulke mooie.

Die hebben we zeker! Een tijdje geleden in Groningen geweest voor het Noorderlicht fotofestival en daar heb ik ook gefotografeerd in het station.
Utrecht is niet echt mooi, maar ik vind het groenige licht en de rode buizen in de hal prachtig uitkomen op foto's.

Veel van wat er in Utrecht mooi was, is weg, of gaat weg (naar Zeeland geloof ik). Ik heb wel eens in de hal geschoten, maar dat licht lijkt me best wel moeilijk.

Jammer he van so'n stad! Mijn man is een geboren en getogen Utrechter en heeft ook
veel zien veranderen, en meestal niet ten goede.
Wat gaat er naar Zeeland??
Het stationsgebied, daar hebben ze zo'n puinhoop van gemaakt. Toen ik vroeger in
Bunnik woonde bestond het oude station er nog met het terras aan het stationsplein
waar ook de buurtbussen stonden en onze bus stond in de straat waar ook de
'synagoge' (zo noemden wij dat als kind) was.
Alle verandering is zeker geen vooruitgang. Het is vaak het best om de dingen goed
te onderhouden en de dingen te laten voor wat het was. Maar er is altijd wel een
wethouder die de binnenstad/veranderingen als stokpaardje heeft.
