Day 14 of 31 Days of Candy Challenge.Candy Wrapper(s).
Every one knows that you end up eating half of your Trick-or-Treat haul that night. The regrets hits shortly after you have eaten half your weight in sugar. You wake up November 1st with a stomachache, headache and dehydration from a sugar hangover.

Sounds like someone must have had a good Halloween, and a not so good All Saint’s Day afterwards from the looks of the picture. They certainly have gorged on a lot of candy, not only due to the tell-tale wrappers to the right of them, but also their pendulous stomach which is poking out from their shirt. That’s a great way to help convey that they’re overstuffed and a bit full visually, as well as the stars and swirl to show a knockout. I rather like how you’ve done that.
The wrappers look a lot and the details overall convey a mess of candy. The small wrappers littered here or there also show that they’re not a bit tidy, and I do like how they add a sense of eating too much. Wrappers lying everywhere so to speak.
The line work on this is overall nice, and I like how you have various line widths in the candy wrapper pile to help give it an un-leveled surface with various crevices here or there. The dark shadow from the parson and the pile looks nice as well. It would have been nice to have some of that shadow bleed onto the character a bit to help show its distance between the person and the pile.
The hatching work used to shade in the background and the floor is overall nice, while it could be a lot neater, it does give that sketchy feeling which fits well with this rather cartoonic illustration. The only other gripe I have with this is the DA Watermark that’s dead smack in the center. It’s not a bad watermark, but I’d suggest making your own and putting it to the side so it doesn’t detract from the center.

Thanks so much for your detailed comment. I really do appreciate you taking the time to do so. I have been looking into some kind of water mark or some of my own instead of the DA. I just haven't really sat down and figured it out yet so, I just get lazy and use DA lol. I do agree, it does take away from art though.

Most people wouldn't even try to draw a person from such a challenging angle but you totally nailed it! I think it's also great that you left enough space above the character to make it look like this character did have move to stand, they just couldn't stay up any longer. One thing that bugs me a bit is that the overall shape of the pile of candy wrappers doesn't look quite natural. It's sort of shaped like a turtle shell. It doesn't reduce the overall effect of the image, though.

oo another really nice drawing! I love the style yet again and it seems everything here belongs. The detail you add is ineradicable and nothing is left out including the little grey in the sky, every little details adds to this to make it a wonderful drawing! It is definally to the point and is surly something I did around age 6-8 haha
