Well art theft is rife and credit should be given where due. This was a fun warmup sketch but its still a flagrant copy. I really do need to find a link for the picture, but it you want to see it its in book one of Akira, page 308.

I totally wanted to, but he had a deformity and I was afraid he would think I was being insensitive. Now I am picturing myself in the restaurant yelling "No! It's because you look like Tintin!"
