Description
She has a body again! I really love her fur!I skinned, tanned and mounted her myself.
The needles in her face are ofcourse temporary.

I skin and tan the fox myself. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought a different tanning is needed for a traditional or soft mount.
I already 'stuffed' my fox with soft recycled cotton, so it's very soft at the moment, but I expect the skin to become hard after a while.

I only use drytanned skins but is your skin wettanned?
If you want to make a soft mount the skin shouls be drytanned and mountable.
You often mount animals?

My fox is indeed wettanned. I'll do some research on drytanning.

I've made skulls and a turtle shell for other people, butΒ I've never made a mount for somebody yet.
As a begining taxidermist, I wouln't have a clue what I would ask for it.

It's a traditional mount, at the moment I can still decide her position, but she'll turn hard too.
Sadly I don't know how to soft mount yet..
