Description Remind me never to make something like this again... EVER.

So yeah, I was just practicing with Illustrator trying to develop a style for Black Silhouette (because later it will be implemented in Flash, like above). While I was drawing Sayuri, I felt it necessary to draw more outfits, and then I was like "hey, why don't I make it a dress-up game?" and then I did...

If you're reading this now, you've probably finished seeing her two outfits, hair-styles, faces, and all the other things. Yeah, it probably took you a good two minutes, but it took me well over ten hours to put this together from start to finish.

But it's okay, I've learned a lot. Never import Sayuri's fishnet into Flash, it'll crash the computer. Instead, rasterize it and make it ugly! Always leave a few days to program the ActionScript. Although the programing is simple, Flash is stupid. It's no wonder guys get paid to do Flash. It's the most frustrating program in the world. Have I ever told you how much I hate this program?

This is quite the treat for the, what is it now, four of you that are following Black Silhouette. This design is close to final of Sayuri before she gets "Ninja'd Up" (you know, like her armored suit that lights up). Her clothing was made on the concept of the Japanese kimono, you know, what Ninjas used to wear. It zips up diagonally, and then there's an under-layer of clothing, which does the same (in this case, it's her closed jacket and then a bullet-proof vest under it). In Japan, they used to have an under-kimono called "Hiyoku", which went under the actual kimono (royalty, like princesses, wore twelve layers, which was called "Junihitoe"). Under all of this is her fishnet, which is sort of iconic to all Ninja culture. Sayuri's got some cool boots, yeah? The design closest to her toes is a reference to "Zori", or Japanese sandals.

Her other outfit (with her jacket opened up) is just what she'd wear if she was on her motorcycle with dual semi-automatic pistols. Yay! I was thinking about combining both outfits into one, having the motorcycle spandex under the bullet-proof vest, which is under the leather jacket, but I figured she'd get really hot in that. The mask is what I like to call a "dust mask", taken from the concept of motorcycle riders that don't like bugs in their mouths. Only this time, it's to prevent pollution and disease intake (it's part of the plot).

If you are interested, right-click and click "Zoom In" to see everything in extensive detail, as it was intended.

Screw that, Flash couldn't even import the vectors correctly. You can see the jagged edges Flash created, which weren't there before. (It's most noticeable in her eyes. Compare that to the title screen image).

I was thinking about making these "frontal profiles" for all of the other characters, but when I saw how long it took this one, I was like "HA HA HA THAT'S A FUNNY JOKE". Yeah no. ._.
