Okay it's not actually a Zergling, but that's what it reminded me of. This is another outcome of my late-night venturings into, well art really. Another update to come tomorrow, and then I'll be done for a while.Lines: the fabulous Chris Anka

Ursprünglich hatte ich mir gedacht dass die Beine im Schatten sind. Im Endeffekt hab ich sie dann so gelassen weil ich mir dachte es wirkt dadurch räumlicher.
Aber so gleichmäßiges shading ist eh langweilig haha. Mittlerweile probiere ich so etwas zu vermeiden...

Nah... it has a fullscreen mode in which you can move the image around beyond the borders, and you can set your own keyboard shortcuts, and some other small things but other than that it's not much of a difference to me personally.

But what is a zergling? is it from a movie? a comic? what?

It's a little creature from a game called StarCraft. It's a rather old but totally fucking excellent strategy game in outer space with three races: Humans, Protoss and Zergs. And the Zergling is the basic fighting unit of the Zergs. Looks kinda like this, only slimy.

Yeah, that's been pointed out to me. Bottom line was I really didn't feel like spending any time on flats, so I just dropped one background color and went straight to the render.

hmm, ya know? it reminds me of that ice beast in disney's "herculeas" (forgive the miss-spell) only doubled over. fantastical shading, and those orbs (eyes?) an it's shoulders are a real nice touch.

Great stylization and detail on this. I especially like the spinal column and the exposed red areas on the shoulders. Are those eyes?
