Here is an alternate superhero OC which is actually my official second OC, though I marked it as my third OC. Anyway, I had this Idea floating around for god knows how long, and I have created this OC to go along with other DeviantArt user's superhero OCs which I will list the ones that inspired me to make my superhero character 1, 2 and 3: Steel wolf, Midnight owl, and Thunder woman. Here's some info about this character, enjoy:

Part 1:

Eli Gabelli grew up in a rough, but closely connected community in Stronghold city, growing up with a girl named, Adelaide ''Addie'' Samson, the two where total opposites, one being strong and active and the other, book smart and logical, became best friends through school and drifted apart when their college years rolled around. Eli made a small business for himself, owning his own gym which doubled as his home.

It was by chance they bumped into each other in the street, meeting to catch up in each others activities, Adelaide had become a secondary lead scientist against on a very classified research that may confirm an all new alien species and living in a world where superheroes swoop in to save the day on a daily basis, what was there to dismiss about the idea, she decided to pull a few strings for Eli to come in as a guest when a lecture with other scientists come to see the two new discoveries. On the day Eli met up with Addie, he met the primary lead scientist, Franklin Carson, who was not only leading the research, but also funding it and came off as a self-centred and unlikeable person who put on an act of someone who is the opposite of those traits.

When it finally came to seeing these discoveries, they were a dark green sphere with rippling patterns similar to the gem stone malachite, emitting a distortion field around it and another which was more crystalline and black in colour that radiated a low heat, neither had been touched or examined beyond first sight impressions. All was going as expected until the lecture was ambushed by a strike team from an unknown organisation who was sent to steal the two assets, Eli was the only one to fight back and for his brave stupidity, was ganged up on and during the scuffle was mistakenly thrown into the glass container holding the green sphere, which exploded like a liquid, covering and casing him in a cocoon of sorts, one that allowed him to see and hear everything going on around him but not the other way around.

Eli looked around in the cocoon, wondering where the superheroes were as every one was complying to the panicked intruders who had taken the black crystal out of the room, every time a gun was pointed at someone, he wanted to punch one of them, it was when Adelaide attempted to run up to the cocoon and hit in the head and knocked to the ground to give him the nudge he needed to break free and grab the man by the face, feet hovering off the ground for a moment then slammed him down on the floor with little effort and break out of the cocoon fully. The other gun men began shooting at him, each bullet were crushed against Eli's skin like an aluminium can, like he was now invulnerable, he took the opportunity to charge each enemy throwing each one with a bit more strength than the last, the ground broke more and more with each step. when the room was safe and clear, he decided to go after the last two who he guessed went to the roof, he was correct, seeing them entering a helicopter.

As he ran, the floor collapsed with each step, making him stumble and allowed the thieves to take off, even with his steadily growing strength he missed the the helicopter by only a few inches and found himself falling to the street, creating a crater and himself unharmed.

Part 2:

The police and a few superheroes had arrived after the whole event, asking questions and cleaning up the scene, Eli sat in a prison cell themed test chamber for volunteers, observing his arms and his reflection that showed something not quite human, Adelaide arrived with a hot beverage, the comforted and discussed the unexpected events and Adelaide promised to undo Eli's transformation. They secretly made their way out of the lab and travelled to the apartment building, listening to a news report on ''The Malachite Man'' and main questions were asked to superheroes, what was he?, was he a hero or villain? and where was he now?.

They made their way up to the top floor and the whole apartment could easily be mistaken for another lab with the amount of equipment, but nonetheless, they made a start studying Eli's condition, such as x-rays that showed no skeleton or vital organs, and the random patterns that fluctuated at random depending how much force he applies to something and how strong, solid objects including people weaker for a time, he doesn't require food or sleep and how if the patterns that appear on his body cover too much of his body, starts to crack and release what looked like steam. Genetic scans showed that, though he had a humanoid form, Eli had no human DNA in him, Franklin made a surprise visit during this time and explained that an investigation was taking place and Adelaide had been fired from her job and was blamed for the incident for the lack of security despite not being her responsibility, Franklin's behaviour was stranger than usual with in that time.

In the meantime, The story of the The Malachite man, now redubbed as The Malachitor was starting to to grow in popularity with toys and posters now starting to be made about him and the chance for a cure was becoming more and more slim by the day, Eli became restless and struggled to adapt to the disguise he had to wear while outside, eventually storming out and rarely returning for any testing.

Part 3:

Through the next few months Adelaide worked harder with what she had and began watching through security footage of the event that was announced ''missing'' and found that Franklin had organised to have the assets to be stolen for himself, before she could let someone know, she was ambushed by the same men the first time, managing to call Eli before losing her phone. she woke up after going unconscious, seeing Franklin with the band of hired criminals and he began talking how easier it would have been if Eli wasn't there and how the alien race that created the crystal and the sphere where ''god makers'' and that he would join their ranks by bonding to the crystal, which coated him in the same substance, a lot more painfully as it seemed to burn him, and at the same time, Eli had broken through the ceiling to save Adelaide, protecting her from gunfire and took out each criminal with his stored up strength until finally getting to Franklin, Who emerged from his cocoon with explosive heat, taking on the name ''Obsidiman''.

A battle ensued between them, from the hidden lair to the city, Eli outclassing Franklin in physical strength and Franklin overwhelming Eli with his fire based powers, both gaining the advantage in a back and forth power struggle and when it seemed that Eli had lost, he came up with a dangerous idea to absorb the strength of the city street he was currently standing on and leap with Franklin into the ocean, disabling his power and almost sacrificing himself in the process.

Some time after, things started to settle down in Stronghold city, people rebuilt, Adelaide had got her job back and Eli had adopted the name everyone had given him and took on the role of the city's protector.

Powers/abilities:

Strength absorption: Eli's main power, he projects an invisible field around his body that allows him to absorb the physical strength of objects and living things, adding to his own, sometimes coming off as robbing the kinetic energy in some cases and temporarily leaving the target weaker and sometimes fragile so his absorbs his strength little by little as to not cause harm to anything around him, indicated by the pale patterning on his body.

Nigh Invulnerability: Eli can use the gathered strength he absorbs to increase his durability, making him invulnerable depending on the amount of power he takes in.

self sustenance: Eli no longer requires food, water, oxygen or sleep.

Speed augmentation/ superhuman leap: Eli can use his strength to travel faster and leap certain distances with absorbed power.

Weaknesses:

Electricity: Electricity can temporarily immobilize Eli and disable his powers

Absorption limit: Eli's body can absorb an undefined amount of strength from objects and people but there is an undefined limit to the amount he can absorb, painful glowing white cracks releasing steam-like pressure, desperately releasing to a stable state, if ignored Eli would explode like a bomb, killing himself and anyone unfortunate enough within his blast radius.

- Mega-glytch: Mega-glytch is a hyper advanced collection of nanobots hellbent on destroying , able to reshape, increase and and decrease themselves to gain a near limitless shapeshifting and mimic many other powers by mimicking advanced technology they assimilate and integrate into their humanoid body, making them more dangerous to deal with.
