Wow. she looks so evil but she's so bright. And the details, and the shineyness of the belt, and that rather crazed looking smile....^^ Weeee!

I was actually going to put more detail on her face, but as I worked it darker and darker, I liked it more and more. So I took a chance, colored it in mostly black, and never looked back. Thanks for sharing what you see in it. --Faile35

I love the contrast in this piece, and the fact that you hid her face. It really draws your attention to the magic. I think the skulls around her might be my favorite part. I also love how the cloth of her outfit collects at the ground. The flow of the spell looks great too by the way. Very smooth, very organized. Another great piece.

Thanks a ton! Me glad you like. The blank, barely-rendered skin I try to draw more of worked this time--usually the picture demands a lot more shading and middle-tones on the skin. --Faile35

I like it just the way it is. I think more shading could have taken away from the beauty of the outer form. It has that woodcut feel to it if you know what I mean. Sometimes lots of detail isn't a good thing. Reminds me of storybook illustrations (though this one is a little more adult. ).

Thank you. You picked out one of her most prominent qualities: resourcefulness. In the next one I'll put up, she's in prison, drawing upon what resources are available there to mold her surroundings. --Faile35

Yup, black and white works for me I've always been a little scared of adding colour, it might have to do with my little colour blindness But I'm learning to like it more and more.

Yeah, doing black and white stuff can be so simple, until you realize you need a division between two objects that HAVE to be the same value, so you start wishing for complimentary colors and so forth... --Faile35
