A photo manipulation that I made inspired in One Piece. I did this after hearing the news about the incoming One Piece live action, which is going to be supervised by Marty Aldstein (the producer of Prison Break).
I couldn't stop thinking in all kind of weird theories about how the hell the live action was going to be: Who are going to be the actors and actress for the main roles? It would be the same history or some kind of spinoff (something like Gotham or Smallvile in the DC universe) ? Is posible to recreate all the fucking devil fruits powers just with CGI, in a decent way? It is going to be canon? How the hell are going to look all the odd looking or anthropomorphic characters (such as Arlong, Chopper, the Nyaban Brothers, Foxy, Brook, Gekko Mohira, Boa Sardesonia, Jimbei, the mermaids... gosh! there are so many strange looking characters in One Piece!)? Are the producers conscious about how much are they going to spend in special effects, costumes and makeup? Will the Impel Down saga become a Prison Break remake? And the question of the one million: It is going to be a good anime adaptation that would bring to the casual public and fans as well a lot of fun and epic moments or it would follow the bad steps of most American anime live actions and become a poorly acted and loose americanized version of one of the best mangas of all the times (like Dragon Ball Evolution)?
Anyway I remember that Oda is going to be involved in the project, and he promised that he was not going to disappoint the fans. So there is hope that the live action would be at least fun to watch.
