I know that not all the anime are degrading for the women, the Mizayaki films always to show strong females and amazing characters, but there are other animes how threat the women like... a pice of cheap flesh
I don't have problem whit sexy anime characters, but: Is necessary put a sexy pose and show the boobs to the history? Is necessary use a rape joke as fan service? Why the hell the guys can have a awesome armor and the girls just mini-shorts?
Again I don't have problems whit people who likes to see animes full of fanservice, ecchi and other stuff, but the anime fan community should be at least a little conscious of what are watching, what is true and what is not, and respect the women like a human begin and not like an object made to please the others.

Personally, I don't like when people say that sexy girls can't be badass.
I like ecchi, it just doesn't turn me on.
Though one thing: what if male characters were useless fanservice characters often too?

You're right, I guess. I don't think HOTD is one of them, though. Maybe because I enjoy is as a girl and don't find it really offensive.
