I have meet some otakus how think that having Asperger syndrome is "cool" or "interesting" just because some anime characters ( like Sai or L) have Asperger.The most of these otakus think they will act exactly like these characters and often they ignore the symptoms or that the people whit asperger exists out of the fantasy and anime world.
Yes people whit asperger have things in similar to L, but having Asperger is not a guarantee to be a super detective how loves candy and never sleep.

Someone at my school found out that I have Aspergers and asked me if I act like L... I don't 100% act like him, but I can sympathize with him.

....I have Aspergers and love anime, but I know it's not real. It's just fun to roleplay as fictional characters (I'd rather use the name of a fictitious character online than my own name, I don't want people knowing my real name. Just common sense.) But to say that you think you ARE a fictional character is really, really stretching the truth and kinda makes you seem crazy. Anime is fun entertainment, but it's not my life. It's not what defines me as an individual, it's just something I really love.
