Just a quick sketch, but anyway, guess what I rewatched today! YISSS! I love BB8, he’s super cute.  My mom totally surprised me with the movie today, I had no idea that she had bought the DVD until I looked up from my computer and saw BB8 on our TV screen. I was so taken aback for a second that for a tiny moment I was actually confused and thought that he was WALL-E, until my brain went ‘wait a moment, that’s BB8, he’s from…’ and I literally said aloud, “WHAT.” Then the screen flickered to the DVD menu and I saw the x-wings and the beloved characters - and it was STAR WARS bliss, all over again. 

So, BB8 on Jakku with Poe Dameron swooping overhead in his awesome black and red x-wing. (Or at list a silhouette of that!)

Woo-hoo Star Wars!!    BB-8 is adorable.  And Finn is so brave, and Rey is amazing, and Ren is... an explody mess.  Yep, got my DVD and watched it last night with my mom, it's typical in that there is so much going on I'll be able to watch it many times and still see new details. 

This movie got all my old fannish happiness going again.  I love the fan consensus that Gen. Hux has a ginger cat.    Had to write a fanfic about that, because you *know* all cats are grey-side users of the Force.

Haha I love Kylo Ren's freakouts so much. He's such an incredible delusional dork, I can't wait to see more of him. Did you see the Undercover Boss parody with him? I also just adore the friendships between Rey, Finn and Po. I cheered outright at Finn and Po's bro hug; it's nice to see movie creators not being squeamish about hugs. I was sooo disappointed in the fantastic DH Close Wars comics when, despite having not seen each other for MONTHS and thinking each other dead, Anakin and Obi-wan did not hug. It was totally a huge platonic hug moment. I actually cried aloud in frustration the first time I saw that part haha because a hug was so demanded by the story, yet... no hug! UGH!  

I can't wait to see more of all of them actually. I want to get to know them all so much better.

Haha, cats are totally grey in the Force. Most of the time they're so peaceful, then they'll be random jerks to each other. They're so great haha.

Yes, hugs are needed!  There is nothing like them. 

I haven't seen the Undercover Boss parody yet, I need to set aside some YouTube time and watch. 

Do you like SWTFA fanfic?  I've got two short fics featuring Kylo Ren up on Archive of Our Own.  There will be a little blood in one, but it's not from fighting, and the other features the "black gang" of the Finalizer, a group of folks who basically keep the ship running and have almost nothing to do with the "people above decks".  At least till Kylo finds them.

I like fan fiction from time to time! I'll check them out, thanks for the links!! You definitely need to watch that parody, it's hilarious.

Fanfiction can be so much fun when it is well-written.  There are a lot of folks out there who write better than the pros and it is a delight to read their stuff.  I've always enjoyed both writing and illustrating fan-works and used to put together 'zines many moons ago. 

I finally watched the SNL SWTFA/Undercover boss parody, oh my!!
