WheeHaw!! A submission! **giggling** I have a couple of days to breathe here and wanted to upload an update on Stevie Ray; I don't know when this is going to be done (and poor hubby may have to wait until AFTER his birthday to get it! lol!), but at least I have his face finished! Again--there's no blending at all on this one--just varying depths of contrast. I think it's turning out okay!

We love Stevie, too (hubby & I!)--that was the original reason for my wanting to draw him! I'm not sure if it was the particular photo that caught me, or just the tragedy of a brilliant talent snuffed out far too soon--I'm hoping to find some time to work on this again soon (...other "commitements," and stuff...)! Nice work. Keep it up! I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn back-up Dire Straits in 1985 and he was freaking great! So many great musicians passing away before their time. Recently another one I've seen and met several times, passed away. Jeff Healey... RIP

I will, I promise! I'm in the middle of a bunch of long-neglected request pieces right now, and just can't find any free time to put in on this (the kind of meticulous time that it'll require anyway)--I WILL finish it, in time! Thanks for taking a look at the WIP, anyway!

Thanks so much (for the kind words AND for :fav:ing a WIP!)! I love Stevie's music, and wanted to draw this for my husband (who is an avid fan himself)--poor fellow: it was supposed to be done for hubby's b-day...I'm having trouble getting this done for him now (and birthday has long since come and gone!). Hopefully I'll be able to get back to this and finish it sometime soon!

Hee! There's actually a lot more to the reference photo--it goes down to about mid-chest, showing his peacock tattoo, and his beautiful filigreed cross pendant...I DO want to finish this sometime--I just hope I can find the time to do it! Thank you again (anything new in your gallery that I've missed...? Been gone a lot lately!

Aah, I recognize that. I think I have at least four or five drawings lying around that I really really want to finish; but I never seem to find the time to do so, so I start with new ones instead, heh. Bad habit I guess
Yeah, I managed to upload a drawing just a few days ago; which made me happy since I haven't finished that many drawings these last six months.

I like this one. Its kind of got that national geographic kinda feel, very honest and real. Thats one of the things i like about your drarings miss Fan, unlike some people ( me ) who allways draw glamour shots. Seriously though very inspirational.
