I submitted this design to Threadless.com, but it got rejected . :c
Photoshop CS2 + Wacom pen tablet; about 2 days.

Love the lines and the brightness of it against the dark background. I'd buy this as a shirt! It reminds me of the Twili symbols in Zelda: Twilight Princess. It's lovely. :3

Did it get rejected because it was too complex? It looks fantastic, so that's the only reason I can think of.

can i use elements of this? i dont see a creative commons license assigned, so i figured there's no hurt is just asking...
...well, i should say i've already used it. so, i'm asking can i post what i've made... for non-commercial purposes. i just used some of the swirls as elements of liquid seeping out of a poison bottle...

I've no idea why they would have turned it down to be honest. Nor do I understand why some of the threadless folks felt the need to trash it. ( I did like the idea of having it wrap around from back to front at an angle from the hip though) Personally? I'd wear it in a heartbeat.
Iβm not sure if the DPI of the piece was an issue or not, as I didnβt see what it was posted, but 300 dpi is considered the lowest end of the scale for being acceptable for print. If it wasnβt up to scratch in the DPI department, they would have had no choice but to decline.
Though it can be a strain on your system if you have a lot of things running/open at the same time, you may want to try upping the DPI of the pieces you work on to fall within the 400 to 600 range. I canβt promise that it would automatically put you in the running for design acceptance, but it would at least remove that issue from the list of possible reasons they would use to decline your work.
