I'm so excited for the bunch of foals that are coming up! This little blondie here is the first one of the three! Rosie, as how her name will be (probably mostly called Blondie by Lexi and Nadja) shipped over to IvoryPark 's stables once she's old enough, but for now the little thing will make trouble and fun with her mommy and the two foal's still to come <3

''Are you sure you're gonna make the night here?'' Nadja leaned on Birdy's stall door while she peeked in to Lexi, who was putting down some blankets on the hay and straw that covered the stall's ground. ''Yes, I'm sure,'' Lexi said while she straightened her back and turned to Nadja, a smile on her face. ''Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'm just making sure she'll be fine during the night,'' she followed her other words while she stroke Birdy's neck. The mare was happily grazing for the hay that laid next to her feet. Her belly was still big and round, but Lexi had a feeling it wouldn't take much longer before the little creature inside would say his first hello. It would be a bit too early, but the doctor said that without any complications she would do fine, and the little foal would do too, but that he could only say with a certain hundred percent when the little thing was born.
''I can handle the cold plus I have enough blankets and Birdy to keep me warm when it gets colder than I think it would.'' Lexi smiled again and gave Nadja a hug over the stall door. ''Good night.''
''Good night,'' Nadja said and smiled back at her. ''And take care,'' she followed before she turned.
''Yes, yes, I will,'' Lexi said laughing. ''Don't you worry,'' she repeated after herself before she led herself down in the straw to make herself comfortable with the book she had brought in together with the blankets to entertain herself when she couldn't get herself to sleep.

As soft as she had fallen to sleep, without she herself even noticed, so softly she was awakened too. Birdy had put her nose against her face, softly rubbing it against her cheek. She probably didn't wanted to wake her up to roughly, but on the other hand she wanted to have her awake for what was about to happen. She had been turning and stepping slowly and quietly for about an hour now, feeling the convulsions in her big belly. The little foal was coming, just as she had felt the past few days, but there was nothing she could do about it. It felt planned and it was something that had to happen, even though she would've stayed big bellied and pregnant for as long as she could, if she could.
Lexi opened her eyes, moaning, while she moved one of her hands towards Birdy's nose who rubbed against her head. ''Sssh,'' she said, until she was awake enough to realize again where she was and what probably was happening. She opened her eyes and it only took a few seconds to see that the mare was sweaty and restless, tossing and turning her body for not knowing what to do in this situation. ''Oh hun,'' Lexi said a bit worried while she pushed herself up sitting. ''Come, lay down, that's the best thing to do know,'' she talked against her and stroke her nose. And now that Birdy had found a place to hold her head on - she lay her head down on Lexi's lap - she decided this was the time to lay her body down. A bit clumsy though, but now that she laid down she felt a certain panic put over her body, while the pain in her belly became worse. ''Sssh,'' Lexi said while she kissed and hugged her head that had laid down on her lap. The only thing she could do was wait and get her a bit comfortable - she couldn't help her for as long as everything would go following plan. She felt how Birdy's body shocked over the painful convulsions dragged through her body. Lexi felt bad for the mare, but she couldn't do anything, and she knew she would be over the moon when she would have the foal laying next to her, she just had to go through this hell of a pain before she could finally hold her.
She could see the little front hooves poking out and it didn't took Birdy very long to push the foal out. The little thing glide out of her straight into the warm straw. Lexi kissed Birdy on her head, whispering to her how good she had done and that everything was over now, before she slowly and carefully laid the head next to her and get up to kneel down next to the foal. She pulled the membrane away from the foal and cleaned her up a bit and than dragged her closer to Birdy, so the brightly new mare could clean up her foal and start to bond with it. ''Lookie Birdy, what a beauty you've created,'' Lexi whispered to her, all excited. The sun was just coming up, the first glows of sunshine shone through the window upon Birdy and her newborn filly. Lexi could only just sit next to them, leaning with her back to the wall, while she looked at the two. It was a wonderful thing to see and they both seemed all healthy, something the vet would confirm in a few hours. The filly was big, even though she was born early, which was probably why Birdy had gave birth early. Lexi smiled by thinking of that - the mare was smarter than they sometimes thought.
Lexi slowly pulled her phone out of her pocket and made a photo of the two, the filly had just stand up for the first time while her beautiful mommy kept her nose close to her to help her where she could. With a smile from ear to ear she send the photo to Nadja, knowing that the red headed girl would only take a few minutes to arrive at the stables once she'd seen the photo. And while she was at it, she also send the photo to the girl who would own the filly once she was grown big enough to leave her momma - she would probably be excited too to see her new little friend.
