The arms of the Florentine branch of the House of Auditore (viz. Patrician's coronet). Though the Florentine branch was all but wiped out due to intrigue in 1476, but survivor Ezio Auditore da Firenze would go on to play a key role in Italian and Mediterranean politics for the next forty years as first a Master Assassin, then the Mentor of the Italian and later honorary member of the Constantinopolitan Assassin Brotherhood. In the pursuit of this deadly business, Ezio Auditore was directly responsible for the deaths of the Pazzi conspirators, Doge Marco Barbarigo of Venice, Cesare Borgia, Manuel Palaiologos and countless others, and a close ally of Renaissance figures Lorenzo de' Medici, Leonardo da Vinci, Niccolò Macchiavelli, Piri Reis and Suleyman the Magnificent. The main branch of the Auditore family also ruled over the Tuscan town of Montereggioni for several centuries.
