Monday: mid-late evening - rain started falling

The Story --------------------"Ugh, how the hell does this thing work?" Lee shook the teepee shell around, dropping the bundled sticks into the mud. She held the tarp up and stared at it for a moment before trying to wrap it around the sticks again. It wasn't quite working- Okay, it really wasn't working out. She was failing, miserably. Sticks fell down. The tarp slid to the floor, everything collapsed- she even, somehow, managed to tangle everything into one great big mess.

"ARGH! THIS IS SO STUPID!" she screamed at the tarp throwing it down in frustration. Baila lifted her head from where she was grazing and snorted at her. "Oh you shut up you stupid horse." she snapped at the mare. Baila pinned her ears, snorted again and promptly turned her ass to Lee.

The girl fumed, arms folded, and stared at the tarp with her best evil glare. "Just put yourself together. C'mon you can do it." she snarled. nothing happened. "Great, just great. The oooooone day I can't do magic." She snatched the tarp back up lifting it above her head to see if there were pockets on the inside for sticking the sticks into.

Ka-BOOOOOOOM

"I fucking hate North Dakota."

Rain let loose, then, as lighting arched across the sky in a blinding flash. It wasn't a particularly heavy shower but it was much heavier than it had been earlier that day. She shivered and huddled under the teepee materials, sitting on the damp grass. "This fucking sucks. It just sucks." Bail whinnied, trotting away from her. "Yeah, whatever, I hate you too, Baila." she muttered to herself.

"Well, I guess now's as good a time as any." She dropped the tarp, letting it drape over her wet head and shoulders and dragged a pipe from her pocket. "Might as well." bad idea. Very, very bad idea.

- a few minutes later -

"I love you rain." a soft smile spread over Lee's face. She lay on her back, arms out stretched, and stared at the rain as it fell on her. Her breath fogging in front of her face in the chilling air. "You're soo..... I just.... I love you rain." she rolled onto her side, running her hands through the mud. "I love you mud." she giggled. Oh dear.

"Baila!" She grasped the fuzzy gray muzzle of her mare and kissed it when the Baliro nickered and nudged her. "I love you Baila you're so soft." the horse nickered again, eares drooping to the sides as Lee snuggled her face. "Sooooooft."

The Story --------------------"Ugh, how the hell does this thing work?" Lee shook the teepee shell around, dropping the bundled sticks into the mud.
