We have now reached the best parts of this story!
Tried paying more attention to composition and color choice in this one. I decided to do away with the cross hatch shading, it worked pretty well with the pure black shadows but on these it just looks odd and unnecessary.
I've begun referencing the comics I have, looking for the things I've been learning and trying to figure out how each element adds to the story. I'm finding a lot of parallels between comics that seem to be standard for the setup. Among those consistencies is text size, its always really small. Which explains why the past couple pages seemed really crowded. I'm downing the text sizes, this should allow me to start putting more detail into the backgrounds when its relevant.
Only three pages left for this part the story people. Look forward to all of them being out before May is over.

Well, most of the neighbors don't even know this is happening. Pepper and her parents get up early to get ready for the day and make up their pastries and such. The sun has literally just started to crest over the edge of town. Anyone one else who'd be up at this time would be getting ready for work or getting ready to open their own shops.
Well, there's actually no need to do that. As they stated the morning rush will start soon as ponies stop by to pick up breakfast. And their cafe/bakery is positioned perfectly so that most of the commuting ponies pass by it. So yeah, everypony'll be able to see it no problem.

As to that last bit, just as an example, I think we all know by now that RARITY'S actual talent ISN'T sewing ot fashion, but rather being able to find gems and such.
THAT'S her TALENT.
But, as everyone knows by now, her PASSION, fashion and design, is what she does for a living, and does very well.
I wouldn't mind HER walking up and putting these two idiots in their place.
Also, I halfway expect/anticipate Twist screaming that she hates them for being shortsighted ingrates, or something similar in the next few pages.

I see it's painted. If the paint's good, it should last a long time even without warping.

Seriously though I want to comment on that, but it would require going from another character's perspective and giving away pieces of the puzzle that are not yet ready to be revealed.

Thanks! Well the idea is that you guys the audience are seeing this through Pepper's eyes and from her perspective. There's just been a level of difference between how you guys have seen the situation and how Pepper has been seeing it. That is about change though.
