Good use of DOF and having the girl looking and heading out of frame is effective in this instance. You might tighten up the composition still further by cropping off the figure on the right (and maybe a little of the black at the top if you want to preserve a standard shape)

Thanks for the comment. I actually did try tightening the crop, but once the lady on the right is gone, the balance doesn't feel right with 3 people on the left side of the frame and nothing on the right. Glad to hear what you think though.
