What an awesome idea, my favourite team of X-men. Thunderbird looks part particularly awesome. Could you do more artwork of this team wearing these suits???? in original positions??? so good 10/10 and a brilliant idea.

Big fan here of that series, for very biased reasons.
No matter how well written or well drawn those issues were drawn
at the end of the day... it never felt "real" far as continuity...
Too pretend, for lack of a better word.
I really like the way you're thinking though.
Maybe a nice ANNUAL? ...something this cool,
would really need to be "real"

Gil Kane and Dave Cockrum did such an amazing job on that cover. I wonder if they could have even imagined they were part of a project that would go on to capture lightning in a bottle. And that one image going down in history as one of the most iconic comic book covers ever. Whatta trip. More than likely, they were each in their own little world, doing the do, none the wiser. Getting the morning coffee, cracking open a batch of pages and going to town on characters whose book had been already cancelled... Just another day at the office so to speak.
