This has to be one of my favorite scenes to write for Ch. 16. Dancing with the person you love is such a heart-pounding, breath-taking, lovey-dovey, tingly, wonderful feeling (especially when he/she moves in closer and all your senses come alive from being that close to him/her).
The RAF uniform still looks hot on him, no matter how many times I see it.

Hee hee. It really is a good scene (and surprisingly not one I planned from the beginning, like some of the others). I was thinking of some of my most romantic moments and then that scene came into my mind. ^^ I know what scene you are talking about and I'm tickled pink that you had that reaction XD

Good thing you did put it in because I think that a moment like that is one of the most romantic. I love the part of Wedding receptions when the Bride and Groom dance because fo that XD

I agree with you. Dancing is the most romantic thing a person can do. Every romantic comedy I've written I try to squeeze it in so that I can have that moment. (I gave up the moment for the comedy in "October Fool's Day"...but there's still their date where I might be able to squeeze it in).

Anyway, yeah. At my brother's wedding, I cried because of how he was looking at my sister-in-law and I'm a hopeless romantic XDD My Dad thought I was stupid, he stopped saying that when my mom started crying too XDD

You know. At the end of Ch. 11? Arthur asked America to go out as a stalling tactic. Well, it's going to backfire naturally...the stalling part, that is (but you didn't need me to tell you that; it's obvious Arthur's already doomed to think of it as a date and not a stalling tactic. The problem is what will Alfred/Amelia think of it as?).
I love those "first dances", but I find I cry more at the father-daughter ones. Not for romantic reasons but b/c I'm kinda a daddy's girl.

It's true, we do. And we don't need to turn them into limes/lemons to get readers to love them either (I just don't get how anyone can write those things...I'd feel dirty, like some porn producer/director doing that).

And I know what you mean. I was curious when I first got into fanfictions and I started reading a smut fic without realizing it before it was too late. I just sat there after I exited out of it thinking, "Why would anyone write that about two characters?"

There's a reason Lust is one of the seven deadly sins: it takes away all the beauty in that gift from God to create life (our reproductive abilities) and makes that power that only God has normally base and animalistic, perverting the sacredness of it.
I too have fallen victim to this curiosity. I determined that there's a reason they usually call it PWP. Most if not all of those type of fics have NO PLOT only the Porn part.

I got into anime that year and I started to write fanfiction too. I was trying to see how other people wrote certain things and I stumbled upon that one Now I know to actually look at the ratings before I read lol

I unfortunately stumbled upon mine on a site where there were no ratings. Oh boy. I didn't trust fanfics for a while after that (thankfully, FFN has a rating system...even if it's a system where the ratings are selected by the authors. Most authors are honest about their ratings. And dA has that great system where you can report a fic/art if it needs a mature tag, so we do a good job of regulating ourselves)

Yeah, I am proud of dA and FFN for doing that. It helps me find the cute fics that make me feel all bubbly inside instead of accidentally stumbling onto a lemon or a lime one that makes me feel gross lol

I agree. The best part is that we authors/artists regulate ourselves for the most part. Doing so really cuts back on the man-power needed to regulate it for us.
