i had this idea in my head for a while now and it was finally time to give it a go
this is pretty much my Race swap meme for Willow, which can be found here (the meme went to scraps because i wanted to upload this in full size as well...so the meme version is going to appear in FoH gallery but this one is not)
i dunno where the idea came from to turn Will into a Demon but it was really fun to draw!
my main inspiration was Tuls Tenebrose from Ava's Demon
anyone heard of it? no? then you should totally read it it's a pretty cool webcomic!
Tuls is this giant, lovely tree monster and he's the cutest, and i love him!
so from the moment i saw him i wanted to draw somethin in the same style, that tree-like demon character based on my favourite tree- The Wipping Willow
and what better occasion for this than the ever fun race swap meme
Tuls was kind of an insporation for Willow in terms of presonality anyways so it fits ^^
this was a lot of fun to draw, tho it was a pain to line with all those tiny leaves...
honestly im quite fond of this design and im thinking to use his as another character in the future ;3;

Aww well I certainly hope he doesn't get mad if I'm ...barking up on the wrong tree but he's a very shy and timbur sorta guy so im sure everything'll be pine~

He is kind of... Not terrifying, but I don't know I would trust him as much as the original Willow than this one ^^". I mean he still have a cute face and the little butterflies around him just give him a peaceful touch.. but all the demon side like the big limbs and the wood hornes give a strange impression on him.
Of course it's really good points! The character design is a succes! He is between the cute little demon and the naturally strong one, and overall he looks great!
I don't think I would try to draw him because... Stop making over complex design that just you and a few chosen one have the talent to draw lol!

oh yeah that was kind of the intent for him to look pieceful and sort of intimidating at the same time...not exactly terrifying but also not all that friendly either...something from the uncanny valley, know what i mean?
why it's nice to hear that you find it good! im personally fond of the design and im totally bringing him into one of my stories

I can imagine it was the goal indeed. I must admit, I would be curious to see you one day trying to comes up with character supposed to be really terrifying, with like no cuteness at all. Would be an interesting experience lol!
Hum... I don't know if it's possible at all but maybe like some kind of temporary transformation for Willow? Would be an interesting twist in his development, both individual and Io's.
Yeaaah... But think of people like me who could never draw something like that in his wildest dreams lol.

oh yeah...i admit i did not try to draw anything that is legit creepy for a while now...not that i ever succeded but maybe it's worth trying?
i admit that would be an interesting take if it was possible o3o tho i don't really think that both versions of Willow could exist in one universe at the same time but i if it was possible i would totally go for that, could be really interesting to explore this kind of interchanging species character o3o

I don't think it's possible indeed. Only a few races can transform, and giving this ability to Willow might just make him way too powerful. Oh well, even if it's not possible, it's still make a really nice special switch meme ^^!

yeah you might be right XD but honestly i havent really tried being actually terryfying with any of my designs...creepy, maybe, but not scary...so maybe it will be a nice thing to work on...not being cute for once XD
yeah the closest thing to do would be using the race change emblem...but nooooo, i like Deku Willow wayy too much to change him ;3;

It could be funny to see ^^. and you already know how to make creepy faces, so create a whole design like it, and it would certainly ends up really nice!
Oh no! Never leave Deku Willow! He is way too adorable as a character and with his relationship with Io to change anything! It was just an idea for a transformation, not a disparition of the cute woodman ^^!

ta wersja to tak bardziej eksperymentalna zabawa ze zmianą rasy więc raczej nic stałego...chociaż design postaci pewnie gdzieś wykorzystam, ale już nie jako inna wersja Willow tylko zupełnie inna postać -3-
