It is really a gorgeous photo, man. But with all the people standing around expectantly, I cannot help but posit that they are looking at their watches and thinking "Where is he? Jesus said he was going to show up!"

... what a breathtaking panorama... the colors in this are so rich, it makes this viewer feel like I can reach out and touch them...
... speaking of which, do you know anybody that wants some St Helens' ash? ... we Washingtonians are trying to find anyway possible to get rid of it, and that means COD if it applies...
... my father lives in Chehalis, WA, which is about 40 minutes west of the volcano (the ash is blowing east, so there is no danger as far as he's concerned):
ME: "hiya Dad, how's the ash fallout?"
DAD: "doing great, in fact we're actually looking forward to it... last time she blew her stack, our vegetable garden had a bumpercrop the next year like you wouldn't believe!"
ME: what about earthquakes?
DAD: earthquakes? ... those cheesy little chinadroppers? ... you gotta be kidding me-- all those damned cityfolk reporters are all up in arms about how the eruption of Mt St Helens is imminent... "imminent?" ... hell, it's been imminent for the past 24 frickin' years-- that ain't news!!
