This is mine and Rob's sense of humour - in my briefs, if the artist is 'of that style', I ask them to expand on the mythos of the zygon's, so they have a life outside the series.

Rob said he was going to paint the zygon in it's every-day life; so here is mum or dad zygon taking the kid and dog out shopping! On board a huge refugee ship possibly. Not something you would see in the series, I'm betting?

It's not just you. But they are the aliens I chose as the theme for my collection. I thought it would be interesting to see how different artists interpreted the same brief. My other 'themed' collection is A4 portraits of the Doc.

AS far as I know, it's Rob's design of a zygon version of a dog or similar type of pet. No silurian influence there to my knowledge.

Ha! Love it. This reminds me of an Outpost Gallifrey art competition I started years ago called "downtime". The theme was to show "baddies" in their off hours. It got a lot of funny responses.
