In case you forgot, this is the backstory of the parents of Joe the Bisharp of Team Nighty Knights. Though at this point, it should be obvious where Joe is here.

FINALLY! Back to the program! And I'm happy to report that for one, I finally figured out that this story is going to be 60 of these pages in total, and for another, that since I've gotten all the pencilling done on all of them already during last semester, now that my final exams are over and I'm back home, I plan to take advantage of this seven-week break to finally get the rest of this story done! This is most definitely the point of no return, and you can see why I'd been kinda sorta *procrastinating* on this part of the story for so long; the next 9 pages are filled with a lot of sadness and despair. Might even turn off comments temporarily if people's reactions become too much...

But at the same time, the reason I'm choosing to go forward with this is because 1) these is also the BEST parts of the story (from what I feel), 2) reading the entire story will make the final chapter of In the Shadow of the Empress WAY more powerful (ooh, mysterious~), and 3) ...Like I already said before, I'm pretty stubborn when it comes to not letting stories just die off in the middle if I had so much hope and excitement for it when it was first made. Even though I might not have that same sort of excitement as I did two summers ago when I first thought of it, it'll still be enough for me to grind through the remaining pages. I'm aiming for one page a day, for sure this time!

Now, for the actual page itself. I think I might have said that it was Tori who came up with the name Joe for Bisharp, but...I dunno, it feels like it would make more sense for Rallen and Jody to come up with it themselves. Since everyone on Planet Paion and Tao World already has names and all.

And if you remember, Rallen actually did get to name their next TWO kids: Gimi and Dari!
