Wow! What a photograph! A beautiful composition!

Would you mind if I used this as reference for an ACEO drawing of my current Fairy Warrior series?

Thanks!! I think these birds can't be found in America, different species of bee eaters can be found in Europe, Africa and Asia though.

The variety of plumage in birds is facinating! My landscape is basically brown grasses and oak trees so the animals tend to match that for chamoflage...to see this brilliant blue and green out in a field or in the forest must be amazing!

Yes it is an amazing colored bird....they tend to perch pretty high though...so I was surprised to see one on the ground!

The variety of plumage and patterns is what makes birds so fascinating to observe and photograph.

Thanks for the comments!

I had to go and see where you are again, after seeing your spidercatcher...you are very lucky to have so many wonderful creatures!

Thank you for your kind remarks. The spiderhunter was actually shot in neighboring Malaysia, which has a great variety of bird species. I am staying in Singapore btw.

Looks great! The smaller size doesn't detract form the clarity at all. Bee-eaters are awesome... Mmmm... the colors are so nice. :giggles:

Thanks! Yeah I really love the colors...they are such gorgeous looking birds. And the way they catch insects in mid-air is marvellous!
