I wish that the rest of the Guard took to carrying some of that medicine around. Makini, you've got thumbs and fingers, take some vines and put small gourds around their necks because you keep running out or losing it.

I always see it as a mixture of the venom and PTSD causing Kion to be aggressive and lash out, as we know the third season is about his worst fear slowly coming true.

He has to deal with the venom slowly taking affect on him, the fact that he now shares a physical appearence with his worst fear(which could get into his head) and he’s also a moody teen so, he’s gonna lash out from time to time!

Yeah, something like that, like maybe Ushari didn’t inflict enough poison onto Kion when he took the bite and the affects are slower that way- Then later, he went to take a more direct bite ‘till Bunga jumped in for le save :0
Now Kion is just getting messed up about all these mixed up feelings and at the same time the affects of the bite!

Well I just read about the snake that bit scar and Ushari.
Scars snake is a black-necked spitting cobra and they are really disgusting. A bite does not kill in all cases and only works very slowly but can often lead to the loss of the bitten body part because the sells stop working!
While the bite of Ushari should have killed Kion within 10 minutes, 2-3 drops are enough to kill an adult human and Kion is just a young teen!
But I do like this piece of art!

Hmmm. Cobra venom typically works much faster than the (days? weeks? MONTHS?) Season 3 takes place over. I wonder now if Ushari simply gave a dry bite and the rest is a combination of mind games and Kion being, well, on the verge of being a hormonal teenager. Honestly, I feel bad for all of them, including Kion; he's trying so hard not to become a monster...
