For the past few hours, Kate Kane, otherwise known as Batwoman, had been scouring Gotham City for the Caped Crusader. No one had seen Batman ever since he seemingly disappeared into thin air. By now, the criminal underworld had caught wind of this development and have started to act even more brazenly than they would normally have done with the Dark Knight was present. After cleaning the clocks of the likes of the Riddler and Mr. Freeze, Batwoman was no closer to finding Batman than she was when she started.

Right before Batwoman was going to pursue a different line of investigation, she noticed a portal that was rimmed with a bubble gummy smoke ring appearing on a nearby rooftop. The female heroine vaulted over to the roof where this portal had appeared and approached it. Under further examination, Batwoman found that there was a totally alien world on the other side of this gateway. Considering all the things she had seen in her superhero career, she knew that whatever had caused this door to open in Gotham City had to been tied to Batman’s disappearance.

“Well, well, what do we have here?” Batwoman muttered to herself as she saw all of Nebula’s victims. The one she focused the most attention on was the individual she had been searching for: Batman. . Taking note of his new feminine curves answered at least one theory: Something sinister was afoot.

Although she recognized a few heroes there, such as Supergirl, Star Sapphire, and Power Girl, she had no knowledge of most of the individuals who had been warped by Nebula’s powers. Many of them seemed to have originated from alternate universe far detached from her own, where she and everyone else from her Earth probably considered fictional.

“I’m guessing this blue lady has never seen a bat before,” Batwoman noted to herself. “I guess I should introduce to her why these winged mammals are a symbol of fear on our world."

Batwoman then began to feel her body grow stiff, as if it were turning into plastic… (toy boat).
