“A newcomer,” Nebula pondered as she eyed up the scantily-clad woman who undoubtedly would become one of her future victims.

“I sense there is much passion in your heart,” Star Sapphire, Carol Ferris, finally spoke to the blue-skinned alien. “Yet there is a hole in your heart, one that lacks love.”

“You can thank Thanos for that,” Nebula snapped back at the newcomer. “What I am is because of that monster.”

“Remember this: Love conquers all with violet light,” Declared Ferris, as if she were quoting some sort of doctrine. The ring on her finger began to glow, giving off a violet-shaded light.

“Dumb romantics,” Nebula complained to herself as she watched the Star Sapphire blow violet-energy hearts from her lips, just as a child might blow bubbles through the plastic bottle cap. Some of these hearts floated over towards Nebula, who immediately swatted them away from her face. Since she was now annoyed by this Ferris's antics, Nebula started to ponder how she was going to mess with this woman.
