Only dumb fools would see Randall as nothing but a heartless, cruel, evil guy as media tries to portray him to be, even having a disappointing reappearance in KHIII as a cliché villain out for revenge which made him way too out of character, just like how the MLP comic made Chrysalis out of character. Regardless of who's idea it was to build the scream extractor (even though Waternoose in my opinion is the kind to come up with any mastermind plan to keep his company going), Randall is nothing more than misunderstood and misguided, lost in anger, frustration, loneliness, and wanting to be someone important for once, but Sully has always taken that away every time and Mike seems to not have any concern or shame for rubbing their success in his face, which fueled Randall's hatred and desire to wanna seek more appreciation and respect, that naysayers don't understand about him. Yeah, I get he may have done bad things, but I don't believe it was all nothing but malice and cruelty as the damn Disney WIKI wants you to believe. I believe it was good intentions at first, since in the monster world, children were seen as deadly parasites or lab rats. Randall might have thought he would not only gain the respect and appreciation he sought from others, but would finally show Mike and Sully that he is a somebody. That makes him more misguided on what it means to be the most respected scarer, having none of those things in his earlier life.
And to the guy arguing with others for having their own opinion about wanting to give Randall a hug here, let other people think what they want about second chances. Just because you disagree with them doesn't mean you have to try and force them to change their minds.

no he doesn't don't you remember when he beat up Sulley and tried to steal Mike's screams. He had his chance and blew it so now he should learn a lesson from this

he steal deserves more chances.
they all have there own problems, but just like mike and Sulley coming together to protect the girl. even though mike HATED her at first. they still redeemed themselves. In university you get more lore about Randy or Randall. If you are cold and go for the heroes all the time. of course you wouldn't think he deserve one. But if you open up more and wonder why randy turned to what he is, and also how unfair Disney is to him. Then you would see that, he can change, and does deserve another chance.

The guy arguing and trying to change your mind is so childish and immature, acting like its his right to tell other people what to think and what not to think, just because he doesn't agree. Nobody has a right to try and force us to change our minds about characters, heroes or villains. In my opinion, Randall is more misguided and misunderstood that most people don't understand. Not all villains are born evil, monsters are usually made by traumatic and bad circumstances, which is what happened to Randall.

Makes me feel bad for him. When you think about it, if he hadn't decided to join ROR and join OK, he might have turned out differently. But the sad thing is, if that happened, Mike and Sulley would never be friends, Mike would be kicked out of MU since Randall probably wouldn't tamper with the Scare Simulator, and Mikemight have never got his job. It's especially heartbreaking when you compare how nice he was prior to joining ROR to becoming depraved enough to attempt to murder another monster.

Exiled to the Everglades, poor dude. And he wasn't even the main villain. It bugs me Randall got exiled and whalloped with a shovel while Waternoose just got arrested.
