This versatile felid can be found all across North America, Rhomaleofelis competes with the large North American canids and mustelids. Their body is covered in spots that fade or become less prominent near the rear, their face consists of stripes along the eyes and it's cheek tufts, the cheek tufts are more prominent in males, sort of like a lions mane. Mating seasons occur from winter to spring, males usually fight over dominance or territory, females have a gestation period of 2 months and care for their cubs for half a year. Their diet consists of mammals, birds, reptiles and fish. They bring down large prey by "wrestling" using their muscles, gripping tightly to them, and biting their throats in order for them to suffocate.
