Unused work I did for Turbine. This was going to show some tiering of armor on a female elf. This is a few years old so the techniques i used were a bit dated, as well as the anatomy. If I had to guess, I think I was designing a theme based on our Rivendell costumes. Fullscreen plz!PS I know its stupid for elves to have bras and underwear, but I painted the base model nude... so i slapped a bikini on her to make it PG.

This is gorgeous, I'd love a version of it with some pants and a bit higher undershirt. Β Not that I'm a prude, this is beautiful too, I just love that LoTRO is one of the few games I can escape into and not get extremely irritated at the armor on women that's far more fan-service than utility. Β I understand this is supposed to be a costume though, not armor. Β I don't mind mail-kinis, per say (and this isn't one, even in the less embellished middle version), I've even had characters that would wear versions of them in wow. Β I just love that LOTRO makes fully clothed the norm and while I'd want the full version of your armor as is up there in the game, I'd love it even more if I could get a version with pants and less cleavage <3
I know, I'm selfish with my girls, both in real life and a game (and trust me, it gets just as hard to find awesome outfits in real life that don't show cleavage...heck it's even hard to find good undershirts designed to block the cleavage in overshirts...I get so tired of layering in real life. Β They're my girls, and the only person I'm comfortable to find staring at them is my husband lol...or my own hungry infant (if I still had one).

I love doing cheesecake pinup and I've done plenty of drawings of girls wearing less, but I didn't think it was appropriate for the Lord of the Rings IP simply because it's not like any other fantasy world where it's commonplace for chainmail bikinis. I was art directed for this project to make it appeal to eastern audiences, which have a very different value system when it comes to gender and how the female body (or male body for that matter) is portrayed.

It's definitely appealing! Β I don't dislike sexy, in fact, there are some things I do like that are also sexy, such as this. Β I've appreciated lots of sexy art in the past
I still think it'd be very suited to LoTRO with some pants and less cleavage though. Β It's an absolutely gorgeous costume concept (especially in your full version), I guess I was just overexplaining my preference for more coverage in the hopes that you'd understand I don't dislike this, I love it, and my desire for better coverage is just a preference. Β Even if it didn't have pants and a higher top, I'd want it in game! Β It's just so pretty and elfy <3

Anyway, nice Elf designs. would have killed to see these in the game. And I'm in the minority of my 15 year old mmo gamer peers because they all play World of Warcraft. LOTRO is easily 100 times better, just because of Tom Bombadil!

I'm not saying it doesn't look good, because it does, but armor-wise, LotRO leans more towards realism and coverage over showing skin.
Now, if she were showing a little less cleavage and was wearing actual pants, I could see this making it in-game.
Otherwise, I love it, especially the color scheme

These colors would be race specific. Usually how it worked at Turbine is I would add color swatches that designate which colors would be the dyemapable areas, so in this case purple would probably be one of the color swatches.
