Until the day of the release of Firefox 29 this was essential for me. Are you planning on releasing a version for 29+ or was 28 the last supported version?

Anyhow: Thanks for a great theme that made using Firefox an even greater experience!

Your theme says it works with version 15.0 - 28.0, I just updated from an old version where I had been using a theme of yours and this version is apparently 12.0 and the lastest.
Where do I get any version between 15.0 - 28.0
I hate my ugly Firefox, it's so bright and painful to look at.
I need Gpopper theme please help me.

Great job Gpopper. All around polish and execution with support for alternative styling extras (thanks for the optional white location bar background ). The natively-styled addon icons are very nice.

Personally I think it could benefit from a sprinkling of contrast to balance all the grey gradients, such as some more near-solid whites and light greys similar to the simplicity of the Chrome theme, but on the whole a consistent and very complete theme.

I'm sure there are many that are glad for the continued updates and support.

Thanks. I'm glad you liked default mod. I will continue it if possible.

This theme began with the dark color. So to leave a dark theme, I will separate the light gray.

LePad [2012-11-20 13:26:13 +0000 UTC]

The best Firefox theme for mac OS, no doubt. I just love it !

I was wondering if there's a lot of changes between each version now ? The reason of my question : I'm running Firefox beta, and when I switch from one version to another (say from 16 beta to 17 beta), your theme is not compatible anymore, and I can not use it until your next update... which occures most of the time just before a new version switch (I think the "release" canal moves from 15 to 16, and at the same time, the "beta" canal moves from 16 beta to 17 beta).

Therefore, I am able to use your theme for, say, 10% of the time, and that's a shame because I love this theme so much ! Do you have any idea how we could get through this ?

Thanks for your work anyway, cheers,
Paddy

I tried to decompile the xpi, change the max version and recompile it, but of course, it fails (Firefox notice that the XPI is corrupted). Maybe you could try to play with the max version settings and use current+1 instead of just current ? And people would report you (through the "add-on compatibility reporter" extension) any issue with the beta ? What do you think ?

LePad In reply to LePad [2012-11-23 10:39:46 +0000 UTC]

Thanks a lot for your answer, and your modification. I know what happened when I first tried to modify and then re-bundle the xpi, all the files inside my *.xpi were enclosed in a parent folder, hence the "your XPI is corrupted" message. Anyway, I grabbed your update from [link] , with the new version limits... so everything's working fine

Thanks again, for your work and your help on this !

Gpopper In reply to LePad [2012-11-22 03:02:12 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. I changed max version so that a beta user could update. Because I use the check tool of mozilla beforehand, there will be few problems. 17 can be updated to 18 if fully reviewed by mozilla. For now, tested for compatibility against 20.0a1. but exclude Aurora.

Incidentally, try recompile on the below terminal command.
$ zip -r DefaultMod.xpi *
And, drag to a Firefox window.

Hello! I love this theme, the only thing I want to change is to keep my color favicons in the bookmark toolbar. Is that possible? Thanks.

Disable filter. add the following to your style.

HTTP --> http
@namespace url(HTTP://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);
.tabbrowser-tab:not([selected="true"]):not(:hover) .tab-icon-image {
filter: none !important;
}

Because I changed a setup before, please confirm an option. default is disable. (:

Hey thanks for your help! Unfortunately I haven't gotten it to work yet. I ran the code through a CSS validator and it said for ".tabbrowser-tab:not([selected="true"]):not(:hover) .tab-icon-image " that "Property filter doesn't exist : none "

LDMartin1959 [2012-07-04 18:45:46 +0000 UTC]

Any chance you could put the tab close indicator on the left side, as with Safari? TabMix offers this option but it puts the indicator completely off the tab and onto the adjacent tab so a theme-native option is preferred. Thanks.

Gpopper In reply to LDMartin1959 [2012-07-05 13:38:30 +0000 UTC]

I updated the theme. [link]
When you choose "Tab Close Button" - "Place on left side", you must enable following option.

/* Tab Mix Plus - Tab Close Button Place on left side */
@import url("chrome://browser/skin/custom/tabmixplus_left.css");

Great and classy work. One idea/suggest/request: Could the menu background color (bookmarks toolbar items menu, for example) be also made to a similar darker shade as the rest of the theme? The resulting softer contrast between the main interface and that background, might just make things even easier on the eyes...

Thanks for this good work!
