Description Maxwell means the most to me he is my companion, helps to keep me walking after I broke my back by taking the strain of our walks and makes me smile with his anarchic antics.

The gift I give to him is small compensation for all he does for me. He has a forever home where he is loved, dines on the best local mince beef, has a 'graveyard' of bones to chew on, toys to play with, friends both canine and human who dote over him and a comfy bed to sleep in (which he shares with me...and he frequently takes the Lion's share, haha).

This image was created on Photoshop 7 with a MD 41217 Graphics Tablet on a PC running XP. Four layers were used to produce the image:

-rough draft
-Inks
-Colour Plate
-Shade/Highlights

A standard brush using sizes ranging from 4-19 was used for the image (inks, colours and shade) with a colour to transparent gradient within a marquee created with the pen tool for the subtle background colour.

This is so sweet! and it's so nice to know how much you care about your dog

(Also same with the bones, mine just has them piled over somewhere like a small fluffy dragon)

Haha, that's such an image to envision: 'All hail Smaug the Fluffy!'

Since the image was first posted Maxie has abandoned his bones to favour tennis balls and plushies (which are much less disturbing to find when he secretes them in the bed which he also now shares with his darling girlfriend...I have even less space on it.

Yeah!

That's so nice! Mine has a bad habit of biting and destryoing everything that's not made of steel so the toys don't last him much, but we're working on that

Here there is a seperate bin for recycling plastic and I used to leave this accessible to Maxie, yup I'd come back to find it spread across the house, but hey it's recycleable crap.

So he'd get a "what have you done, what's this doing here, bad dog...etc." when I came in. He's now six and it's been four years since he's been destructive in my absense (Maxie was 18 months old when he came to me).

Now what I'm suggesting is that you have an accessible box of plastic crap: bottles, cartons, etc. when you are out as well a carton of k9 toys. When you come back be growly about the plastic crap that's been strewn about and leave the k9 toys.

Now this only works for one hound in the house, add another and all hell will break loose...worked great for Maxie then Darla came to live with us...okay no destruction but I went from lead hound to wolf handler (lowest of the low) overnight...still there six month later I'm still their handler!

Hehe, thanks for the advice!

Yeah we've been a bit relaxed on the training aspect, it's great that you've managed to teach them so muchΒ  and managed to stay their handler

I'm kinda starting to work on the trainnng part, like the basics and everything (he knows them but obeys them whenever he feels like it) so I'll be working on that, but I'll take into account what you said about the plastic stuff acessible
