Alternate History – The Comintern (1939)
Forged in the harsh winters of the Eastern Front, the ideas of equality and prosperity that communism brought spread like wildfire. In the midst of the Great War (1914-1919) the Russian Civil War (1917-1922) kicks off the first stepping stone in the long chain of what would become known as the world revolution.
The Communist International (Comintern) was founded in 1921 during the 1st World Congress and continues to promote communist ideology as well as fund and publicly support the communist insurgency and revolution in many nations. Many countries across the world have begun to come under the folds of the Comintern from Venezuela and Guyana in the New World, to the Balkan Commonwealth and Greece in Eastern Europe, all the way to Hindustan, Burma, Japan, and the Philippines in Asia. The mass industrialisation of these peoples once dominated by Western Imperialism has set the eyes of this Red Beast on the homeland of all evil, Western Europe.
The year is 1939, the world stands on the brink of war. The Comintern in the east grows violently spreading communist ideas, the Weltfriedenspakt believes itself to be the just global authority and pulls nations under its “authority” voluntarily or not, the corrupt and collapsing New Entente clings onto ideas of past glory and democratic purity in a changed radical world, the sleeping powerhouse of the Covenant of Mecca stirs in the sands of the middle east set on freeing the people of Islam from the oppression of foreigners, and now the Technate, a wildcard in the global stage, looms over Asia and Europe with its unstoppable industrial might.
This truly will be a war to remember.

I wonder if the US will be even more fanatically anti-Communist as half the planet is under Communist domination. What side they will be on.

Most likely. I'm still playing around with America at this point. They are very anti-Weltfriedenspakt after losing the Great War but I think with the communist bloc growing in South America they could also see that as a threat. I am also thinking of trying to work America into some type of technocracy and be ruled by technologically advanced corporations. Communism would be a huge threat to this so I can see a conflict there.

They had a bit of a problem with commies and economic collapse, quite similar to the German Revolution in 1919.
