Yes, they are. But this one is a young bald eagle and so it hasn't the white head right now.

This is wonderful, just the kind of bird shot I love. And you should be proud of this, seriously. Not only it is technically good (like the dof a lot!) but it's also a moment you've captured, not just a staring eagle but an eagle that does something, in this case, yells (if eagles do yell). The emotion here is very humane somehow, just like he'd be shouting something like "Heyyyy!" in an irritated voice.

No, I already knew it was fantastic when I took this photo. Sometimes I can feel a good photo. It is like being high when you are taking the photo. After taking it I was a while still very happy because I knew that I have a fantastic shot on my camera!
